At Women in White Coats @ UM,  we’re bridging the miles between Ann Arbor and your hometown with a curated lineup of virtual experiences designed to give you the "Michigan Edge" before you even graduate high school. With individualized mentorship, panels showcasing professionals in every healthcare field, workshops teaching both the soft skills and technical skills required in healthcare, and even the chance to gain leadership and lead projects at your own high school!

Join our Mentorship Program

You’ll be paired with one of our Founding Executive Board members for bi-weekly deep dives. Whether you’re dissecting a practice AP Bio exam or drafting your college personal statement essay, your mentor is your co-pilot.

  • What you get: Personalized roadmap, "Coffee Chat" sessions, and a direct line to a UM Pre-Health student.

Sign up to be a Mentee with one of our current 8 Board Members! For students interested in becoming a Mentor, we are currently only looking for undergraduates at the University of Michigan. 

Clinical Experience Panels

Real talk from our role models and inspirations!

Forget the textbooks. We’re bringing in the women who are currently wearing the coats! Our panels feature UM Medical students, specialized physicians, and groundbreaking researchers.​

  • As a bonus, every panel ends with a 20-minute "Ask Me Anything" (AMA) session

Elevate Your Skills with our Technical Workshops

From ethics to cold emails, learn the underlying skills in the health care field that are often overlooked.

​

We will be hosting virtual workshops discussing topics ranging from medical ethics, case study nights trying to diagnose patients, cold-email templates to help kickstart opportunities, and developing soft skills necessary during interviews and patient interactions!
